Gorse Hill and Pinehurst - Lynda Barber 
Lynda is the Liberal Democrat candidate for Gorse Hill and Pinehurst. I retired to Swindon where my family live. Previously I was working full time for the Salvation Army in Andover.
I served on the North Wilts District Council and Chippenham Town Council and have been Mayor of Chippenham and Chair of North Wilts Council.
I represented my ward in Chippenham for 20 years and saw how much could be achieved by working together with those who use the services every day
I believe in local politics being just that with local councillors who work the community who see the issues that affect Gorse Hill then do something about it.
I live in Gorse Hill and have a real interest in what happens here and in the surrounding area. I am a member of a tenants association and a member of the Housing Advisory Forum working with the council on behalf of tenants
I believe it is the job of local councillors to look at the problems and with the help of the community do something about them the coming closure of nationwide is an example of where councillors need to take a lead
If elected I will fight for the people of Gorse Hill and Pinehurst all year round, listening to those who live and work here, then put their interests first .
