Residents have been delighted to learn of the Council's U-Turn on the residents parking scheme.
It has been announced that town centre households will be allowed two car parking permits again, following resident outcries at the recent announcement that all second permits were to be phased out.
Cllr Martin Wiltshire said: "When our Focus Special generated over 100 complaints the Tory-run Council ignored them, but they could not ignore the many extra 100's of recent complaints by local residents, nor their slipping into third place at the elections on 4th May.
"This is all down to the hard work of local residents acting together to reverse this decision. However, the work does not stop here. The Liberal Democrats will be working hard to ensure parking will work for the future."
