Swindon Liberal Democrats have voted to back the Swindon Together On Planning march on Saturday 9 April.
Dr Sue Stebbing, the Liberal Democrat Prospective MP for South Swindon commented:
"Liberal Democrats have consistently campaigned for the environment and against proposed development on green field sites. We have opposed the Front Garden development and, as members of the Save Coate coalition, it is natural that we would support the STOP march. Some of Swindon's most precious natural spaces are under threat from Labour and Conservative politicians who are putting developers' profits before protecting our environment."
Swindon Liberal Democrats will be joined by colleagues from North Wiltshire.
Paul Fox, the Liberal Democrat Prospective MP for North Wiltshire constituency and a County Councillor, said:
"We are united with Swindon Lib Dems in our opposition to unbridled development. We will be supporting the STOP march on Saturday.
"One of the most important aspects of this campaign is to stop Swindon expanding across the M4 and to maintain the unique identities of Purton, The Lydiards and Wootton Bassett. We must stand firm to preserve the rural buffer.
"Unfortunately Wiltshire Conservatives voted to support an 'open-ended review' - they are sitting on the fence, waiting for the bulldozers to knock it down!"
